THE CONSCIOUS DISCIPLINE OF TRUE DISCIPLESHIP

Hello family.
Welcome to another new and exciting week on Burning Hearts Series.
Ever than before we are surrounded by a more urgent need for knowing and manifesting our true discipleship in the Lord Jesus.
Families, societies, young men, the body of Christ and the world at large are in dire need of the discipline that forges one into a true disciple of Christ.
There are so “many christians” but few disciples
A disciple is simply a loyal and true follower of a person,an idea, a principle or a way of life.
Yesss even the devil has disciples.
A disciple of Jesus is one who is a true follower of the teachings/disciplines of Christ.
Christ speaking in the Gospel gives us 3 major disciplines of becoming His disciple/follower in Matthew 16:24;
“Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me”

Christ wasn’t speaking to the unbelievers or non-christians here but to those in the church, to his disciples, to us.
He gives us 3 disciplines with which we must discipline ourselves by to be modelled into His true disciples and it is not without reason He mentioned them as;
🔑SELF DENIAL
🔑TAKING UP OF ONE’S CROSS
🔑FOLLOWERSHIP
🗣️🔥🔥PALANDA KUVA LAMINUZAVAH
These are the fruits by which we can know those that are Christ’s and those that are not;
Daily self denial, carrying the cross(the burdens of the Lord) and following Him are the marks of true discipleship.
Where one of these is lacking, then we must go back begin to retrace, retrace because this is a discipline that we must go through ourselves. It is our part of the covenant to fulfil.
WHERE THERE’S NO SELF DENIAL, EXCUSES FIND A BREEDING GROUND!!
Jesus carried His own cross and that’s why He specifically says we should carry ours because He knows that the discipline of discipleship is what makes men into true worshipers.
IF ANY MAN WILL COME AFTER ME HE MUST DENY HIMSELF, TAKE UP HIS CROSS AND FOLLOW ME!!!
Many are comfortable with been called a Christian until it is time to deny themselves of certain things for sake of the gospel they profess.
Many are comfortable with going to church until it is time to carry their own cross(the burdens of the kingdoms).
Many are comfortable with been believers until the price of believing in Jesus greets them in the face of adversity.
As long as this continues, we are going to be pharasaic in our work with God. To be pharasaic is to be hypocritical, to preach what we do not practice. And this is the problem of world right now.
The discipline of true discipleship requires the forfeiture of one’s own life in this world for the sake of the gospel. It is the part of death. Death to everything that is contrary to the disciplines God has given us through the example of Himself in Christ.
Matthew 16:25 touches on this clearly when Christ went on further to say that;
“For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it”
WHOSOEVER WILL LOSE HIS LIFE FOR MY SAKE WILL FIND IT.
This also means that whosoever will deny himself of ungodliness, carry godliness and follow godliness will profit not just in this life but in the life to come.

It is not enough to take up your cross daily, you must hang on it daily as Christ did.
Christ denied HIMSELF of His Glory by becoming man, carried the cross( yoke and burden of the Kingdom of God) and followed to the death.
Christ was first a disciple before He made us and He is calling us to come after Him🤔
The discipline of true discipleship requires that you put God first before yourself, that is denying yourself of certain privileges and pleasures as Christ did.
The discipline of true discipleship requires carrying the yoke,burden and demand of the principles of the Kingdom of God daily as as Christ did.
The discipline of true discipleship requires that will follow after righteousness and godliness even at the expense of our life as Christ did.
🗣️🔥🔥PULAKAVRANDI LETOSKA PALANAYAH RULUKAYAH
Deny yourself of food and pleasures of this world through fasting and prayers.
Carry the stigma, cross, sacrifice, burden and yoke of the Christian life through willful submission to the ordinances of God.
Follow the path of righteousness against all odds looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith.
When it is said that God seeks true worshipers, this is also it. True worshipers are true discipleship because they do it in Spirit and truth.
To walk after the Spirit is to walk the path of self denial, to carry the cross is to carry truth and to allow truth to set us free from all ungodliness is to follow after God intentionally.
GODLINESS IS PROFITABLE UNTO ALL THINGS.
God is calling the body of Christ, is calling you and I to move beyond words to action. To move beyond theory to practical. To move beyond having the form of godliness to been godly.
🗣️🔥🔥PARAN DO KOVELENDE LAMINAKAH YALANU RIZIDIGUYAH
As we carry our cross daily through self denial and followership, God will not leave us without a helper.
Hear this:
Just as Jesus carried His cross and fell 3 times yet continued because of the help He received from Simon the Cyrenian…..so will we encounter pitfalls in our path of truth discipleship. But take heart because God has already given us our own Simon the Syrian which is the HOLY GHOST, OUR HELPER.
In conclusion, it is the Holy Ghost that empowers us to carry out the discipline of a true discipleship and equips us for the work of ministry.
That is why even after Christ told His disciples that they must deny themselves, take up their cross and follow Him, Peter still denied Him 3 times before the Holy Ghost came during the pentecost.
The curriculum that forms the discipline of true discipleship is programmed by the Holy Ghost and only Him can guide us through them ….but first we must submit ourselves to be LED BY THE HOLY GHOST.
🗣️🔥🔥KEZUBRADINAH LAVIAGADAYAH
TO BE DISCIPLED IS TO BE LED.
Jesus mandated us to make disciples of all nations by teaching them to observe everything He commanded.
To make disciples of all nations also means to teach them self denial, take up their crosses and following Jesus.
ETERNAL FATHER, WE PRAY FOR THE EMPOWERMENT OF THE SPIRIT OF GRACE, WISDOM AND POWER TO CONTINUE ON THE PATH OF TRUE DISCIPLESHIP.
TEACH US TO LOOK BEYOND OURSELVES AND FOLLOW YOU AGAINST ALL ODDS. MAY WE BE EFFECTIVE IN OUR PARTNERSHIP WITH YOU THIS SEASON AND ALWAYS.
