UNDERSTANDING WHY AND HOW THE WORD OF GOD SANCTIFIES US”
It is written in
Psalms 12:6
“The words of the LORDare pure words:
As silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times.”

What is Sanctification?
The Greek word for Sanctify is HAGIAZO which means to make holy, that is to (ceremonially) purify or consecrate; (mentally) to venerate, hallow or sanctify.
Sanctification is simply purification, cleansing or to make whole that which was not whole.
Christ praying in the Gospel as captured by John the beloved in John 17:17 says expressly:
“sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth”

So the Psalmist echoes saying the “WORDS OF THE LORD ARE PURE WORDS”
Confirming that the Word are Sanctified Words that are able to completely and fully Sanctify.
The HAGIAZO power of the Word of God works seven folds/ways. And that is why the Psalmist speaking says
“…it is as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times..”
WHY SEVEN?
Because the number Seven is consistent with wholeness and fullness.
When we go through the lens of scripture we will discover so many scenarios of sevens occuring in relation to cleansing, purification and healing.
🔖The Syrian captain was told by the Prophet Elisha to dip himself in the Jordan seven times (2nd Kings 5:10)
🔖Elijah told his servant to go up and look for a sign at the sea up to seven times (1st Kings 18:43)
🔖The Children of Israel were told to go round Jordan seven times and on the final say to go round seven times (Joshua 6:15)
🔖The dead child Elisha raised back to life sneezed Seven times before coming back to life ( 2nd Kings 4:35)
🔖Moses performed cleansing rites in the Book of Leviticus seven times consistently (Leviticus 8:11)
🔖Christ in the Gospel says we should forgive our offenders seventy seven times seven (Matthew 18:22)
🔖 Nebuchadnezzar was humbled that may learn obedience for seven years (Daniel 4:32)
The scenarios are much and are all prophetic pictures of credibility of the Word whose reality is now complete in JESUS CHRIST!!!
And all these are to emphasize the trustworthiness of the Word of God and how it is able to SANCTIFY because the Word has gone through Sanctification Seven ways.
Only that which is already Sanctified, can give Sanctification
The Word has been tried in Seven ways and considered Pure and this very Word is the Person of Jesus Christ.

The Word of the Lord has been tried in Seven ways and purified seven times and these seven are the seven Eyes or Spirits of God
Scripture speaking in Isaiah 11:1-2 says
1 And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:
2 and the Spirit of the LORD shall rest upon him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the LORD;
The Branch spoken of is Jesus Christ (The Word) who is filled with the fullness of the Spirit Seven Ways.
This also means that He was tried and purified in seven ways and considered to be pure therefore let us consider the following;
🔖The Word of God has been tried through the lens of Spirit of Lordship and Dominion and therefore only the Word can set man apart for true Lordship and Dominion
🔖The Word of the Lord has been tried and purified through the lens of Spirit of Wisdom therefore man can gain the fullness of Wisdom through the Word
🔖The Word has been tried and purified through the lens of the Spirit of Understanding, therefore it is known to give understanding to us
🔖The Word has been tried and purified through the lens of the Spirit of Counsel therefore our true guidance rests in the Word of God
🔖The Word has been tested and Purified through the lens of the Spirit of Might therefore the Word has the ability to bestow might upon all who trust in the Word
🔖The Word of the Lord has been tested and purified through the lens of the Spirit of Knowledge therefore we can trust that we can access the true knowledge of God by the Word.
🔖The Word has been tested and trusted through the lens of the Spirit of the fear of the Lord, therefore we can access the inspiration for true reverence through the Word.
These Seven ways works the fullness of HAGIAZO in our lives.
The test of all men goes through these seven lenses and so we can trust in the Lord with all our heart by not leaning on our own understanding.
To trust in the Lord is to trust in the pureness of His Words. These same Words manifested as flesh and blood and is named CHRIST JESUS.
No wonder Christ walked in the fullness of the Spirit of God(Seven Spirits).
He Himself have been tried in all the ways yet without Sin therefore It was Him who was able to Open the Seven Seals Book according to Revelation 5:5-6
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Juda, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
6 And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.
Glory!!!!!!
Only The Word can break the seven seals because The Word is Pure and has been PURIFIED SEVEN TIMES!!!!!
We can also notice the Seven Horns and Seven Eyes of the Lamb which are called the Seven Spirits of the Lord.
The Seven Horns, Eyes and Spirits are one and the same.
The Horn proclaims what the Eyes sees and the Spirit carries it out in Seven Ways. One Spirit operating Seven ways to enforce the HAGIAZO of all who trusts in the Word(Jesus)!!!!!!!!

The Foundation for Purity and Sanctification is the Word of the Lord and that is Why the Word purchased Holiness for us by the Sacrifice of Himself in Seven Ways🤔
(Read this again)
🔖The Word purified us from Slavery and Bondage by restoring our Lordship and Dominion
🔖The Word purified us from the ways of foolishness and godlessness by the ways of Wisdom
…..the Same goes for the restoration of Understanding, Counsel, Might, Knowledge and Fear of the Lord from cluelessness, lack of guidance and direction, weakness, ignorance and Idolatry respectively.

And so it is written
🔥Psalms 119:9
“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way?
By taking heed thereto according to thy word”
🔥Acts 20:32
“And now, brethren, I commend you to God, and to the word of his grace, which is able to build you up, and to give you an inheritance among all them which are sanctified”
And so the Psalmist still emphasizes on the HAGIAZO credibility of the Word by proclaiming in Psalms 19:7-13
7 The law of the LORDis perfect, converting the soul:
The testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple.
8 The statutes of the LORDare right, rejoicing the heart:
The commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORDis clean, enduring for ever:
The judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether.
10 More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold:
Sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.
11 Moreover by them is thy servant warned:
And in keeping of them there is great reward.
12 Who can understand his errors?
Cleanse thou me from secret faults.
13 Keep back thy servant also from presumptuous sins; Let them not have dominion over me:
Then shall I be upright, and I shall be innocent from the great transgression.

The Word of the Lord has been tested and proven Seven Ways to be trusted in our Journey of HAGIAZO!!!!!!
