GINOSKO; Experiencing God beyond perception

This is a season and time where men must move from knowing God  by perception into knowing Him by experience. And so it is a time and season that;
___________šŸ”„____________
GOD IS CALLING US AND HIS CHURCH INTO GINOSKO (The intimate and experiential knowledge of Him by revelation)
___________šŸ‘ļø____________

(Ephesians 3 :17 – 19)

17  that Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love,

18  may be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height;

19  and to know
the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.

This is powerfully profound😃😃😃

Our emphasis is on Verse 19

“and to KNOW the love of Christ, which passeth KNOWLEDGE, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God”

The Greek work used for KNOW in the scripture we just read is “GINOSKO(Greek)/YADA (Hebrew)” not
OIDA which is the Greek or  EIDO  which is the Hebrew for the word; “Know”

The Greek word  used for  KNOWLEDGE in the scripture above is “GNOSIS”  and there are different types of knowledge but our emphasis is on HOW the knowledge is attained.

It is important to understand what GINOSKO means and why it is used the way it was, in the scriptures to give us a deeper sense of the urgency of Paul’s prayer for us.

The bible uses OIDA/EIDO and GINOSKO/YADAH for “know” and they both have their significant meanings and how they are used.

Exploring their meanings will help us catch the light of what God is saying to us.

WHAT IS GINOSKO?

GINOSKO means;
Knowledge gained through experience from intimacy and relationship.

It also implies to have experience of someone someone through interaction e.g to know someone sexually as in marriage. The knowledge attained through this experience is called GINOSKO.

In English, GINOSKO means a very vivid understanding, a relationship between what is known and the knower.

WHAT IS OIDA?

OIDA/EIDOĀ  means knowledge gained byĀ  perception or observation.

It implies to perceive, notice, discern, discover, to see, i.e. to turn the eyes, the mind, the attention to anything. To pay attention, observe to see about something.

From all indications and definition it is clear that there’s a distinction between experiential knowledge and observatory knowledge.

There are many who know(OIDA) God but don’t really know (GINOSKO) God

The experiential knowledge of God (GINOSKO) surpasses observatory or factual knowledge of Him and that is why Paul prayed that we will KNOW(GINOSKO) the Love for Christ that passeth knowledge. This is deep!!!!

God wants us to  KNOW HIM EXPERIENTIALLY because  that is where HIS  FULLNESS will manifest in us and through us!!!!
So much depends on it!!

Do you know God experientially or are you merely fixated with facts about Him. True freedom comes from knowing God experientially.

Scripture speaking in John 8:32 says

32  “and ye shall KNOW the truth, and the truth shall make you free”

The word used for know there in the scripture above is GINOSKO not OIDA

This also means that awareness or mental perception  of truth cannot set us free unless we have a knowledge that is birthed from experience and practicality. This is deep!!!!!

One can never truly know something until one has experienced it.

Do you know the truth?šŸ¤”

The scripture also uses GINOSKO for the words of Christ when He was explaining what ETERNAL LIFE is in John 17:3

Christ speaking says;

3  “And this is life eternal, that they might KNOW thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent”

That we may “KNOW HIM”

What does that tell us?šŸ¤”
It tells us that; ETERNAL LIFE IS EXPERIENCED NOT PERCEIVED.

God wants us to KNOW HIM beyond perception……HE WANTS OUR KNOWLEDGE OF HIM TO BE ONE THAT IS GOTTEN THROUGH PERSONAL INTIMACY AND RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM NOT HEARSAY.

This is what produces trust and absolute faith in Him.

You can’t put your trust or faith in someone who you are not in a deep relationship with or whom you do not have a shared experience with.

Many are not growing in their knowledge of God because they have neglected the place of knowing Him EXPERIENTIALLY through quality relationship.

It is what Paul meant when he spoke in Philippians 3:10

10  “that I may KNOW (GINOSKO) him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death”

Is that your yearning today?

Did Paul know God?
Yes he did. But there was a knowing he was yearning for daily and that is;

“experiencing God beyond his own ability and perception of all he already knows about God”

Hear this;

Knowing God EXPERIENTIALLY is progressive and prevents us from the danger of stagnation in our christian journey.

Knowing God through GINOSKO shifts us from staying fixated in our past encounters and experiences of Him and prepares us for His current move. God is a progressive God.

He desires that we progress in our knowledge of Him and that is only possible through GINOSKO!!!!!!

Our father in the Lord DMG has always taught us that;

KNOWING GOD IS BY REVELATION ~ Apostle Danjuma Musa Gaksu

The average young man and young woman is aware that God loves him/her. They hear about it in sermons and masses and even read about in scripture but still feels an emptiness within them….. Why?

It is not enough to know God by our senses…KNOWING GOD IS BY REVELATION AND GINOSKO PREPARES US FOR THAT  EXPERIENCE THROUGH PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP AND INTIMACY.

It’s written in
John 10 : 27

27  “My sheep hear my voice, and I _KNOW_ them, and they follow me:”

Christ speaking says HE KNOWS HIS own. This knowing is a knowing beyond perception, it is borne from intimacy. Yesssssssss the word used there is also GINOSKO not OIDA.

It’s GINOSKO  that helps us to do the Will of God and dislodge the works of iniquity.

Many are going to be rejected by God because they neglected the place of knowing God by experience. God will say “DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY, I _KNEW_ YOU NOT”
(Matthew 7:23)

They  call Him Lord Lord but little did they know that their knowledge of Him was one-sided. It was hinged on OIDA not GINOSKO.

They knew(OIDA) Him enough to work in His Gifts but never knew(GINOSKO) Him enough to obey His commandments.

This season we must all make a decision to KNOW GOD EXPERIENTIALLY BY INTENTIONALLY BUILDING OUR RELATIONSHIP WITH HIM.

IT IS A CALL TO GINOSKO!!!!

ETERNAL FATHER, WE THANK YOU FOR THY WORD WHICH IS YE AND AMEN!!!!!!
