A Glorious Sunday to y’all family 😃😃😃 and children of the new and everlasting covenant.
On the night of cross over, I recall vividly that one of the things God purposed to do this new year is to *reenact His covenant with His church.
Our Father in the Lord Apostle Danjuma Musa Gaksu has been taking us on divinely inspired series and it is important to note that the prime purpose of all is to strengthen the covenant and prepare is for all God is set to use us to do this season and times to come.
God has spoken and is still speaking;

“Have respect unto the covenant:
“For the dark places of the earth are full of the habitations of cruelty”

This is a call to the Church first and the World at large. But the World at large can only respond zealously when the Church(you and I )does.
WHAT IS A COVENANT?🤔
A covenant is simply an agreement, deal or commitment made between two or more parties together.
The Hebrew word for covenant is Beriyth which also means ” to be in a league” or “go into confederacy with something or someone” or “community bond”
(See Joshua 9:15)
The Latin Word for Covenant borrowed from the old French Word is Convenientem translates as Convenient, suitable or “to agree”
God is a covenant keeping God and He doesn’t operate outside His Covenant(laws, principles) because they are perfect. He interacts with His Creation based on His covenant and that is what He wants us to understand, first for our preservation and secondly for the longevity of all He has entrusted into our hands(creation).
Scripture speaking says in
Amos 3:3- 6 says;
3Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
4Will a lion roar in the forest, when he hath no prey? will a young lion cry out of his den, if he have taken nothing?
5Can a bird fall in a snare upon the earth, where no gin is for him? shall one take up a snare from the earth, and have taken nothing at all?
6Shall a trumpet be blown in the city, and the people not be afraid? shall there be evil in a city, and the LORD hath not done it?🤔

CAN TWO WALK TOGETHER EXCEPT THEY BE AGREED (THEY ARE IN COVENANT)?
When God’s draws our attention to the fact that He is a Covenant Keeping God, it is strictly for our own Good and wellbeing because, truly speaking, it adds or reduces nothing from His sovereignty.
God communicates His love for us through the platform of covenant.

We can see all through scriptures the covenant God went into with different people and 6 among these covenants are instrumental to His plan.
They are;
📌The Adamic Covenant
📌Noahic Covenant
📌Abrahamic Covenant
📌Mosiac Covenant
📌Davidic Covenant
📌 New and Everlasting Covenant.
All these covenants are intertwined together and are typologies revealing the love of God and His redemptive plan even after the fall.

“HAVE RESPECT UNTO THE COVENANT…..”
This is a warning and an expression of Love at the same time.
Disrespecting the agreement or not holding unto our commitment of the deal or Covenant is what causes many to be limited in life.
We have seen Scriptural references of where covenant was breached and repercussions followed; most notable and first example been a breach of the Adamic Covenant in the Garden. This is a story we are all conversant with.
The Covenant are principles God set in place to help us interact with Him, our fellow humans and the World around us.
What you agree to or agree with, you go into covenant with knowingly or unknowingly🤔

Christ speaking says in John 14:15
IF YE LOVE ME, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS
This is a covenant here☝🏿
The prove of Loving Christ is doing all He tells us to do.
Not doing what He says is a breach of the deal and makes us no different from the pharisees, scribes and saducees of old.
There are many doctrines flying around about been saved by Grace and they are good to behold but I tell you the truth, Grace is a price paid by someone and to sustain that price, one must stick to the conditions prescribed. The Grace is given to help us adhere to the terms of agreement.

“….WE ARE SAVED BY FAITH AND NOT BY WORKS…” The works mentioned here are the dead works of the flesh that comes from obeying the 613 laws of Moses. The Jews are very particular to this like the circumcision of the flesh without the circumcision of the heart.
1st Corinthians 7:19
“circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the keeping of the commandments of God”
The scripture also says faith without works is dead…so what keeps out Faith alive are the Works we do…and what are the Works? 🤔
They are mentioned in James 1: 19-27;
19Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
20for the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
21Wherefore lay apart all filthiness and superfluity of naughtiness, and receive with meekness the engrafted word, which is able to save your souls.
22But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.
23For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass:
24for he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was.
25But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.
27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

These are the covenant or agreements laid out for all who are partakers of the new and Everlasting Covenant. Doing these☝🏿 is keeping the commandments of Christ which is set as LOVING CHRIST.
IT IS ALSO HAVING RESPECT UNTO THE COVENANT
Scripture speaking says the ” THE DARK PLACES OF THE EARTH ARE FULL OF THE HABITATIONS OF CRUELTY”
What does this mean?
A world that does not keep to God’s Covenant is a cruel world and keeping to His covenant will save us from the coming judgement which is an unavoidable repercussion of the cruelty.
Yesssssssssssss God is Holy and He punishes sin(a breach of the covenant). So when God says have respect unto the covenant He is reminding us of His endless Love of Life eternal.
SIN can be defined as a breach of agreement between man and man or man and his God🤔

THE ENEMY’S ATTACKS IS NOT REALLY AGAINST US BUT AGAINST US KEEPING GOD’S COVENANTS.
The enemy’s knows God’s covenant and that God’s judgement is sure and so his major plan is to see that we break God’s covenants so that we can disalign from God’s blessings and become candidates of God’s punishments.
It is the reason why he went straight to attack the covenant in the garden; “DID GOD REALLY SAY”?

WE MUST DEDICATE TIME TO REALLY KNOWING THE COVENANT!!!!!
But How can we keep a Covenant if we don’t know the whole terms and conditions. God is calling us to stay on His Convenant(The Word) so we can can remain in his Will and escape the evils and cruelties of the world around us.
📌Praying is part of the Covenant (when ye pray…)
📌Fasting is part of the covenant(when ye fast….)
📌 Investing in yourselves, people, relationships with God and People is part of the covenant.
These things protect us against the cruelties of the dark places of the earth.
Proverbs 7 sums it all up and gives a vivid picture of what it is like keeping the covenant and disregarding the covenant.
It is an allegory of what happens to a man or woman spiritually when the covenant is breached.
This season and in times to come , let not the covenant of God be second place but first place in all we do.
FATHER YOUR COVENANT IS LIFE EVERLASTING TO US ALL, OUR FAMILIES, STATES, NATIONS, FRIENDS AND OUR CHILDREN’S CHILDREN, HELP US KEEP TO OUR OWN PART OF THE DEAL THAT OUR DAYS MAY BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULFILMENTS OF THY PROMISES.
